Iris Maor is an award winning TV and Digital Media executive who has been working for independent production companies for the past 20 years as a Head of Production, Producer and Executive Producer. She has an RTS (Royal Television Society) award on her mantelpiece, won as part of ‘best production team’ and films she worked on as production executive have won or have been nominated for BAFTA, Grierson, RTS and other awards. Feature documentaries she has produced have been shown at Sundance, Tribeca and other international film festivals.
Iris was Deputy Head of Production at October Films before establishing Ronachan Films with Angus Macqueen (former Head of Documentary at Channel 4). She has helped Morgan Matthews establish Minnow Films before joining forces with acclaimed director Patrick Collerton and appointed Head of Production of Yipp Films, where she oversaw the company’s output as well as producing feature length documentaries and advertising campaigns. Iris served as Head of Operations for the Bureau of Investigative Journalism before moving to Digital Media in 2011, working as COO and then CEO of an innovative crowd sourcing start up. In 2013 Iris joined Sundog Pictures as Director of Production and Operations, a post she held until 2016. Iris has been a Production Consultant for Channel4 as well as Guest Lecturer in Production at Goldsmiths College and London Middlesex University.
These days Iris works as an independent business and production consultant. She advises and supports new companies, managing set up and growth. She also advises NGOs on media strategy.
Iris is a member of the Board of Trustees for Blast Theory, an acclaimed multimedia arts organisation based in the South of England.
Edward Jarvis is a journalist and documentary film maker. He started his media career as a journalist at the Nottingham Evening Post before joining Channel 4 News as a researcher. He has worked on a number of prime time documentaries and films for the BBC’s Panorama, Channel 4’s Dispatches and PBS’s Frontline series. Edward has worked on several high profile foreign documentaries, including A Company of Solders, Iraq: The Lost Generation, The Madrid Bombings and Cult of the Suicide Bomber. He has also worked as a series producer.
He or his films have been nominated for both a BAFTA and a Grierson Documentary award. He was a finalist for Reporter of the Year in 2000, Campaign of the Year, also in 2000, Highly Commended as Daily News Reporter of the Year in 1999 and as Newcomer of the Year in 1997.
These days Edward is an independent film-maker and writer.
